Indian Head Massage
Not just for athletes!
Specifically aimed at promoting faster healing of injuries. An assessment is carried out to explore the cause of your pain/ tension/ injury by examining your range of movement, strength, sensations and skeletal alignment. The treatment involves manipulation of soft tissue, soft tissue refers to: skin, muscles, tendons, ligaments and fascia. The number of sessions recommended will vary, mobility exercises and recommendations for home practice will be suggested to to encourage the healing process along faster and also train the body to avoid reinjury.
Sports massage is also used to enhance sports and fitness performance by targeting specific areas of flexibility and strength based on your sport/ fitness activity.
Manual Lymphatic Drainage
Manual lymphatic drainage has powerful cleansing, pain-relieving, relaxing and immunological effects. It is a very gentle form of treatment and primarily used to drain the lymphatic vessels of metabolic waste, bacteria, large protein molecules, toxins and excess water. This light pressure is an effective form of treatment for fibromyalgia, headaches, oedema, skin disorders, stress, digestive disorders and recurrent colds. It is also useful for pre and post surgery (when recommended) to aid in the healing process. Due to the slow and gentle movements it is common for clients to fall asleep during treatment.
Indian Head Massage
45 minute treatment.
An Ayurvedic treatment for healing and relaxation, originally used to improve the condition and health of hair. A relaxing treatment which uses a variety of massage techniques which combine to release tension from the muscles on your upper back, arms, shoulders, neck, face and scalp. As well as improving circulation, lymphatic flow, removing waste products, increasing range of movement into the joints and rebalancing your top three chakras.
This treatment is traditionally done in seated, however if preferred it is also available in lying down.
Long gliding strokes (with a pressure of your choosing) kneading and gentle percussion are used to relax the entire body. Either indulge in a full body treatment (face, neck, shoulders, arms, entire back, front and back of legs) or enjoy a bespoke experience where you select what parts of the body receive treatment (can also include scalp, hands and feet). An experience for all the senses with the use of calming oil, music and incense to drift away from the stresses of the day.
A treatment to help calm and balance the nervous system from the outside in.
